Ford of Europe

For this project we worked alongside automotive consultants from IBM on a pan-European used vehicle study, looking at the online marketing of Ford vehicles to their dealer network, dealer websites and dealer training.

Areas reviewed included used vehicle promotion, both online and off, dealer systems integration including DMS, vehicle image libraries, standardised vehicle descriptions across multiple markets, appraisal and valuation techniques and the sales processes within dealerships.

The consultancy process involved discussions with senior Ford personnel from various European countries, dealers, Ford IS teams, data providers and other agencies. The project, e-Used, culminated in a sophisticated automotive remarketing tool, a pan-European framework for dealer websites and a training programme for the networks.
